Winter Storm Bringing Snow and Ice

A winter storm is not just bringing snow but also some ice, so we are going to be looking at the biggest potential for impacts today from Colorado into the lower Great Lakes looking at the ice potential that goes through Tuesday. The darker shades of pink we could actually have some accumulating ice with this system as the heaviest snowfall that flies from Colorado pushes into the Midwest. Chicago will be seeing some accumulating snow and we could have snow fall rates today 2 inches per hour by Tuesday.

Chicago could see up 5 to 8 inches through Wednesday as the storm moves east we could have widespread amounts of one to 3 inches of snow along I. 95 and upstate parts of New York could see 3 to 5 inches of snow.
