ALG Connect:Arctic Plunge Will Drop Temperatures, Wind Chills Below Zero

Arctic Plunge Will Drop Temperatures, Wind Chills Below Zero

If you think it’s cold now, just wait! Bone-chilling arctic air will plunge into the Northern Plains Friday and then spill south and east into the Ohio Valley and Northeast this weekend. Temperatures are forecast to drop below zero in places like Minneapolis, Omaha, Sioux Falls and Chicago. When you factor in the wind, wind chills could drop as low as -30 across parts of the Dakotas and Minnesota.

The Midwest clipper is moving across the Great Lakes and will move into the Northeast on Wednesday. A swath of 3-5 inches looks likely for many with some of the higher elevations in upstate New York forecast to see over 1 foot of snow. On top of that, it will be windy, especially in the Appalachians where blizzard warnings are in effect.

We recognize the severe impact that current conditions are having on our customers, and we are committed to restoring service levels as quickly as possible. As a result of these weather issues, the ALG Client Service Team will send daily updates as we monitor the progress and track job level.
