Edouard is moving inland as flood threat continues across Texas, Louisiana

Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall on the Louisiana coast and is bringing heavy rain and strong wind gusts to eastern Texas and southwest Louisiana, raising flood concerns especially near Houston. The main threat from this system is heavy rainfall, both near the coast and to some extent inland, especially over Eastern Texas.

Edouard officially made landfall at 2:20 p.m. CDT on September 1, 2026, near Johnson Bayou, Louisiana, with sustained winds of 60 mph. Wind gusts of up to 71 mph were recorded near the Texas-Louisiana border, 52 mph at Calcasieu Pass, LA, and 46 mph in Cameron, LA. Water levels in southwestern Louisiana are 1-2 feet above expected tidal levels. The storm is producing heavy rainfall along the coast and inland, particularly across eastern Texas.

We recognize the severe impact that current conditions are having on our customers, and we are committed to restoring service levels as quickly as possible. As a result of these weather issues, the ALG Client Service Team will send daily updates as we monitor the progress and track job level.

Update: Western Region - Beaumont, TX - Tropical Storm Edouard Impacts

As an update to the Industry Alert that was published on the morning of September 2, power has been restored at the Beaumont, TX Local Processing Center (LPC) and the facility is restoring operations and will begin processing today.

The Beaumont, TX LPC NASS Code - (776) can accept commercial volume effective today at 06:00 central time. The N. Houston, TX Regional Processing and Distribution Center (RPDC) will accept volume that has already been directed.
